In biology, programmed cell death is the process by which defective and extraneous cells are systematically aborted or commit suicide. It is death realized as a process external to the individual and beneficial for the continuation of the whole. Death for the sake of life, echoing the continual process of regeneration in all of nature. All things must pass, and never is it without purpose or wider effect. As it grows more and more detached from reality our civilization is moving closer to its own demise. It's core is rotten and this rottenness itself is imbued with a deathly fate (whether it be at the level of ideas or more tangible). But don't worry; No matter how much else is taken to the grave with our civilization (money, human life... life as we know it, etc) existence will continue on - recycling all things that have rotten, growing new life out of the decomposition.
Programmed Cell Death (the music) is a snapshot of modern life, reflecting the dying world and hinting at the inevitable processes directing it and all of life.
