Hessian.org is an organization dedicated to the study and examination of the boundaries of metal as a transcendent cultural phenomenon and a legitimate  expressive art-form. The term “Hessian” in this context refers to those who not only show interest in metal as a musical genre, but try to understand the meanings behind its rich historical and philosophical background while applying its principles towards enhancement of experience and knowledge. The resulting creature often resembles varying degrees of Faustian Romanticism, Esotericism, the Occult, Traditionalism and a worth-ship of Power and “Vir” (and by extension, virility).
